SI LIGHTSPEED LLC

Privacy Notice

Last updated October 23, 2026.

The short version

This site has no tracking, no advertising pixels and no analytics. We keep the smallest amount of information needed to answer you, deliver what you bought and keep the lights on. Nothing you type into NIC leaves your device. We never see your brain.

Who we are

SI Lightspeed LLC, an Arizona limited liability company, runs silightspeed.com and nic.silightspeed.com and sells NIC. For anything in this notice, contact us through the site or reply to any email we have sent you.

When you contact us or join a list

If you use the contact form, the website inquiry form or the "Keep me posted" box, we receive what you type: your name, email, phone number if you add it, your message, which page you sent it from, and whether you ticked the box agreeing to email updates. Netlify (our hosting) receives the form first and passes it to a private Google Sheet we keep for this purpose. We use it to reply to you and, only if you agreed, to send occasional updates. Every update email has a one line way to stop them.

When you buy NIC

Payment is handled by Stripe. Stripe collects your card details, name, email and billing address directly; we never see your full card number. Stripe sends us your email address, the amount paid and an order reference. We keep those in a private store so we can deliver your link, send it again if you lose it, and handle refunds or disputes. Our delivery email is sent through Resend, an email service, which processes your email address to send it. Stripe's and Resend's own privacy notices apply to what they hold.

When you use NIC

NIC runs in your browser, on your device. The questions you answer, the brain it writes and everything inside it are stored only where you choose to save them. They are never sent to us. NIC names on screen every call it can make to our server, with a live count of what it has sent. Unlock checks your link the first time you open NIC on a new browser: it receives your link's code and a random identifier your browser makes up for itself, so we can count browsers against your purchase. That identifier is not your name, your email, your location or anything about you. The lost link box sends us the email you type, so we can check it against purchases and send a link to it; we keep a dated record that a request was made. Once after unlock, NIC sends your link's code to learn your brain's number for Born; the number is saved on your device. NIC on your home screen carries your link's code when it opens, so it stays unlocked.

Cookies and tracking

This site sets no cookies for advertising or analytics. Your browser may store small technical items (for example remembering that NIC is unlocked, or an unsent draft) on your own device; they never come to us. Stripe's checkout page uses its own cookies for fraud prevention, under Stripe's notice.

Who else sees your information

Only the services that make the site work, each for its purpose and under its own agreement with us: Netlify (hosting and forms), Google (the private sheet behind our forms), Stripe (payment), Resend (delivery email). We do not sell personal information and we do not share it for advertising. We will disclose information if the law requires it or to protect someone from harm.

How long we keep it

Contact messages and list sign ups: until you ask us to delete them, or two years after our last exchange. Purchase records: as long as needed for refunds, disputes, accounting and tax, which can be up to seven years. Unlock and lost link records: for the life of the product. You can ask us to delete anything that the law does not require us to keep.

Your choices and rights

Ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or stop update emails at any time. Depending on where you live you may have further rights, including under California and European law; we honor them. Contact us and we will answer within 30 days. We do not treat you differently for exercising a right.

Security

Everything moves over encrypted connections. Payment details never touch our systems. Our stores are private and limited to the people who need them. No system is perfect; if a problem ever affects your information, we will tell you.

Children

This site and NIC are for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16; if you think a child has sent us something, tell us and we will delete it.

Changes

When this notice changes, the date at the top changes with it. Big changes will also be announced on the site.
